neuroPULSETM

Your INSiGHT neuroPULSE (HRV) is a Class II medical device that collects three Autonomic Nervous System(ANS) biometric signals simultaneously.

Heart Rate, GSR (arousal), and Temperature sensors collect data over 1-5 minutes intervals. This combination assures that HRV can be calculated in a calm, resting state. The ANS activity and balance is used to monitor a patient’s adaptive reserve.

neuroPULSE scans are used when calculating the CORESCORE.

Power-on button

Push once to turn on. Push and hold for 5 seconds to turn off.

Algometer port

For use with spineSENSE algometer only.

Test

Use only when advised by technical support.

Status

Shows charging state

Charging port

Insert charging wire. Instrument cannot scan when charging.

Sensor array cover

Maintains stable finger position; flashes when exam complete and when ready for use.

Hand platform

Positions middle finger under sensor array cover.

GSR gold-plated sensors

First and Fourth fingers rest on these GSR sensors.

Temperature and Heart Rate sensors

Beneath sensor array cover. Third finger tip activates sensors.

Heart Rate port

Ear Clip/Finger Sleeve sensors plug in here.

Ear Clip Sensor

Newborn/infant scanning; clips to ear, finger or toe pulse points. Deactivates GSR collection.

Finger Sleeve Sensor

Pediatric/child scanning; Deactivates GSR collection.

Helpful Tips

  • Age: Used for all ages. Earclip – Newborn to 2+ years. Finger Sleeve – Children to 2+ years.
  • Cleaning: Use disinfectant wipes on all touch surfaces after each use. Q-Tip with alcohol can be used under the sensor array.
  • Charging: Keep battery charge above 50%. (indicator in software). Approx. 1-2X/week; Connect USB to laptop, INSiGHT Bridge or USB hub. DO NOT use any unauthorized power supply.
  • Inspection: Look for wear on brass sensor surfaces; replace as necessary (approx. 2-3 yrs).

neuroCORETM

Your INSiGHT neuroCORE (EMG) is a Class II medical device that measures the neuro-motor activity in the muscles along the spine and calculates postural energy expenditure. Patients are primarily scanned in the seated position. neuroCORE scans are used when calculating the CORESCORE.

Trigger

Push in to turn the instrument on. Pull trigger to take readings. Hold in for 5 seconds to turn off the instrument.

Charging port

Insert charging cable. neuroCORE cannot scan when charging.

Touch screen

Displays Red(Left) and Blue(Right) sEMG activity; spinal segment; signal stability indicators; redo segment levels.

L and R Sensor array

3 electrodes (upper 2 collect EMG signals; lower is ground; squeezable to ensure complete electrode contact.

Set screws

Set sensors to width of spine.

Handle

Position one hand to pull trigger; When scanning in C/T region, other hand supports sensors to ensure contact.

Dip Tray

Add Isopropyl alcohol; used to dampen sensors while scanning.

Helpful Tips

  • Age: Used for ages 5+ and older.
  • Scanning postures: Seated (recommended), standing (occasionally), NEVER prone; examiner sits behind patient.
  • Alcohol wipes: Prepare skin before scanning: wipe gently along both sides of spine.
  • Sensor contact: Apply light pressure with sensors, enough to only indent skin.
  • Cleaning: Use disinfectant wipes on handle and all touch surfaces after each use.
  • Between use: Rest instrument securely on its screen or sensor surfaces.
  • Charging: Keep battery charged above 50% (indicator in software). Approx. 1-2X/week; Connect USB to laptop, INSiGHT Bridge or USB hub. DO NOT use any unauthorized power supply.
  • Inspection: Look for wear on gold electrode surfaces; replace as necessary (approx.1-2 yrs).

neuroTHERMALTM

Your neuroTHERMAL is a precision, infrared thermographic Class II medical device. It is designed to measure temperatures on either side of the spine and uses Synapse software to calculate and graph the temperature differences. neuroTHERMAL scanning identifies whether vertebral subluxations are affecting neurological regulation of the organs and glands. neuroTHERMAL scans are used when calculating the CORESCORE.

Trigger

Push to turn instrument on and take readings. DO NOT hold continuously while doing a rolling thermal exam. Hold for 5 seconds to turn off.

Charging Port

Insert charging cable. Instruments cannot scan when charging.

Wheels

Left wheel is geared to calculate distance. DO NOT lubricate either wheel.

Sensor blocks

Contain infrared lens. DO NOT touch skin while scanning.

Infrared lens

Detects radiant heat energy.

Set screws

Set to width of spine.

Eyebrows

Lifts hair and keeps sensor blocks from touching skin.

Handle

Hold at 90 degrees to spine when scanning.

Helpful Tips

  • Age: Used for all ages. Segmental – used for newborn to 1+ years.
  • Scanning postures: Seated (recommended), prone or standing.
  • Between use: Position with wheels up, away from heat source.
  • Charging: Keep battery charge above 50%. (indicator in software). Approx. 1-2X/week; Connect USB cable to laptop,INSiGHT Bridge or USB hub. DO NOT use any unauthorized power supply.
  • Calibration: Check consistently (twice monthly) (in Synapse software).
  • Cleaning: Use disinfectant wipes on handle and all touch surfaces after each use.
  • Inspection: Wobbly sensor blocks (instrument dropped); missing eyebrows.

neuro BridgeTM

  • Allows iPad and Synapse software to operate INSiGHT instruments
  • Allows instruments to be used at screenings without internet or when office internet is interrupted
  • Stores patient scan data
  • Used as a charging port for INSiGHT instruments

The INSiGHT Bridge uses Bluetooth to pair your INSiGHT instruments and WiFi to connect to your office network and to the internet through your router.

Antennas

Attach immediately.

Power

Adapter is suitable for 110V-220V supply. Use plug adapter only when needed (International power converter not necessary). The INSiGHT Bridge requires a wired, power supply.

Solid Green / White Light

Bridge is active.

MAC Address

Media Access Control address:12 digit network identifier.

Ethernet cable/Port

Connect ethernet cable directly to office router.

USB ports

For charging instruments; insert dongle here when needed.

Helpful Tips

Positioning of INSiGHT Bridge

  • Position Bridge at desk height with clear sight lines within 20-30 ft. of scanning
  • DO NOT place bridge behind leaded walls
  • Bridge can be connected to your router to improve performance by using supplied ethernet cable.

Rebooting: After updates etc. rebooting the bridge may be necessary. Remove power supply plug from back of bridge.  Wait 10 seconds; reconnect to power source
